YAC organizes Anti-Corruption Walk in city

365Telugu.com Online News, December 10, Hyderabad:: Students, youth and civil society members participated in the Anti-Corruption Walk organized by Youth for Anti Corruption (YAC) at People’s Plaza on Monday. The participants pledged to work for the eradication of corruption from the society and the government organizations and ensure the proper dispensation of services to common man.

Ankunuri Murali, Advisor to AP School Education Department, on this occasion said that corruption or graft was the most worrisome issue to the society today. He said that corruption was the major hindrance in the development of the country. He said that the walk against corruption was unique and necessary.

Former Chief Commissioner RTI Dr Varre Venkateshwarulu, who participated in the walk, appreciated the efforts of YAC and said that steps to curb the corruption were proving futile despite several measures by the governments and civil society members.He said that students can play a great role in curbing the corruption. He advised that struggle against corruption must not stop and efforts by the YAC should include all sections of the society to fight against the evil. He wished that such programs should be held in the future too. He was the guest of honor for the event.

Dozens of students, youth and others have participated in the walk and pledged against the corruption. Mrs India 2016 Laxmi Rao also graced the occasion and participated in the walk.About 500 volunteers, NCC cadets, students from Aurora College, Kakatiya School participated in the walk from People’s plaza to Jala Vihaar. “Avineeti Antham-YAC Pantham” was the slogan of participants.

Guest of Honor Dr Venkateshwarulu administered pledge against corruption to the participants after the walk. Similar walk was organized in each district of Telugu states by YAC on Monday.Volunteers Vasireddy Giridhar, Devendar, G Jayaram, Mariya, Hari, Ramesh, Noori, Sara and others played crucial role in organizing the walk in city and coordinated the entire program.
