This edition of NeuralHack has seen a record in the number of registrations and new prize categories.  One winner from each State of India and a 30-day finale will see 250 competitors vying for top honors. This unique hackathon skills college students in technologies like Data Science, Cloud, CRM, Artificial Intelligence and equip them for their professional lives.

NeuralHack, initially introduced to top colleges and universities as a National Level coding competition across India, is a virtual event that enables future innovators to address emerging realities by creating superior digital solutions. NeuralHack Season 5 is a 30-day hackathon format where finalists collaborate on end-to-end solutions in a real-world enterprise environment, harnessing talents across high-demand, dynamic industry verticals. 

In its fifth season now, NeuralHack has been gaining prominence among the student community. This year there were more than 100,000 registrations from top business and engineering schools across the country. After several rounds of competition this season, 250 finalists will compete for the final round for the first time, which will be held over 30 days in October 2021.

Witnessing the growing importance of NeuralHack among the student community and for wider participation, this year, we are instituting several more awards. In addition to the main prizes, we have added a category for four Zonal winners and twenty-eight State winners. Virtusa’s events like NeuralHack and Business Cipher showcase the skill, talent, and capabilities coming out of the universities in India and enable us to hire the best talent.” 

Virtusa panel of judges will evaluate and declare winners for NeuralHack Season 5, followed by the offer letters and cash prizes. The hackathon commenced on the 20th of September, will have a weeklong learning and assimilation session for the team of finalists. A panel of Virtusa judges will evaluate the final prototypes based on technology, collaboration, creativity, and competition, followed by the winner’s announcement in the last week of October. The winning team takes home a cash prize of INR 50,000, while the first and second runners-up get INR 20,000 and INR 10,000, respectively. Zonal and state winners will get rewarded at this year’s hackathon, given the geographic spread of participation.
