365Telugu.com online news,May 4th,2023: Dasari Narayana Rao was a prominent Indian film director, producer, screenwriter, actor, and politician who predominantly worked in Telugu cinema. He was born on May 4, 1947, in Palakollu, Andhra Pradesh, India and passed away on May 30, 2017, in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

Dasari Narayana Rao started his film career as a writer and worked on several successful films in the 1970s, including “Tata Manavadu”, “Sardar Papa Rayudu”, and “Kondaveeti Simham”. He made his directorial debut in 1972 with the film “Thatha Manavadu”.

Dasari Narayana Rao was known for his socially relevant films and has directed over 150 films in Telugu cinema, including “Meghasandesam”, “Mega Sandesham”, “Bobbili Brahmanna”, “Osey Ramulamma”, and “Swargam Narakam”.

He has won several awards for his contributions to Telugu cinema, including the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu for “Meghasandesam” and the Nandi Award for Best Director for “Tata Manavadu”.

Apart from his work in the film industry, Dasari Narayana Rao was also involved in politics and served as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from 2004 to 2009. He was also the President of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee from 1985 to 1988.
