Hyderabad Bongo Mela-2019, an authentic Bengali festival

365telugu.com online news,july 7,Hyderabad: Sur-O-Dhwani, an organization dedicated to promoting visual & performing arts and festivities. from Bengal, in association with Shilparamam is organizing Hyderabad Bongo Mela 2019, an authentic Bengali festival featuring music, dance, arts & crafts, food and lot more. The public will have the opportunity to enjoy mesmerizing performance by a fabulous line up including Hindoldance group, popular local Bengali music bands like Song-Slesh and Folk Studio. Several other

exhibits and stalls will be filled with delicious Bengali cuisines, crafts from different parts of India. and artwork of Padma award winner, Bengali cotton sarees/handloom sarees, Santiniketani products and jewelleries. Following the last year’s trend, this event is expected to attract over 15,000 people over two days from the local Bengali and non-Bengali community.

An abundance of traditional Bengali snacks and sweets will be offered, including the mouth-watering Kolkata kathi rolls, Chop, Mishti doi and famous sweet ball Roshogolla. The flavour of Hyderabad Bongo Mela can be tasted with differently cooked Biryani at the food stalls. The eye-catching handmade jewelleries, traditional bengali handloom sarees, bedsheets, different products from Shantiniketan will be offered at the stalls. The popular silk saree Dhakai maslin will re-kindle your love for your traditional outlook.

The festival will open on both days with Master’s Stroke, a drawing workshop cum competition.From light music to Hindustani classical, from Rabindrasangeet to modern bengali songs, both evenings will be filled with an assortment of poem recitation, singing in choir groups and solo, dance, saxophone and harmonica featuring a total of 84 performers.

The energetic performances of prominent solo artists, Bengali bands like Song-Slesh and Folk Studio, dancegroups like Hindol Dance Group, Reva Dance Academy, Gourab Creations, soul elating recitations of Bengali poems, will warm the evening of 6th and 7th July .
